In the past few years I have incorporated a pen and a journal in my devotional times. I have found the benefit of recording my thoughts and impressions so that they don't escape into the chaos of my schedule, but are written down so I can reflect again on what the Lord has been saying to me.
Recently I have begun writing prayers on a regular basis. The discipline of writing some of my prayers helps me to articulate my thoughts and emotions. Finding words for my feelings helps me process what is chasing around in my mind. Reading the prayers others have written opens up the connectedness we have as fellow followers of Jesus. I have been encouraged by the insightful expressions in the prayers of other.
Monday - Sunday, 6/19 - 25/2017, some of your spiritual sisters will tour Potomac Ministry Network, praying in every region of our fellowship. We need this concert of united prayer in our lives personally and in our families, churches, and communities.
As we tour through the Network, I will be sharing some written prayers shared by several women, along with some from other readings, and from scripture.
